傈僳族知多少

傈僳族是中国官方公布的55个少数民族之一，他们主要生活在我国的山区，此外在缅甸，泰国和印度也有分布。

The Lisu people are one of the 55 officially recognised ethnic minorities in China, inhabiting the mountainous regions of the country. They also live in Burma, Thailand and India.

《旅游指南》栏目的一支摄制组在云南省偏远的盈江县和一户姓栋的傈僳人家生活了一个星期，得以了解了他们的日常生活，并体验了一场盛大的生日聚会，大家尽情地唱歌、跳舞、喝酒。

Travelogue spent a week homestaying with the Dongs, a Lisu Family living on the remote slopes of Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province. There, we discovered what everyday life is like for them… and it all ended with a big birthday bash, with plenty of singing, dancing and drinking! Bonus!

Here are some quick facts about the Lisu people and their culture - we don’t want to give away too much of the episode!

-中国的傈僳族人口大约有73万。

-The Lisu population in China is estimated to be around 730 000.

-傈僳族的历史是以歌曲传唱的方式代代相传的。如今依然留存了很多歌曲，有的甚至可以唱一整个晚上。

-Lisu history is passed down from one generation to the next in the form of songs. Today, some songs are so long that they can take an entire night to sing!

-历史上傈僳人的宗教混合了祖先和自然崇拜，并有自己的图腾文化。20世纪，西方传教士开始将基督教传入傈僳族，目前基督教是傈僳族的主要宗教。

-Originally, Lisu people practised a faith that combined ancestor worship with animism and local totem customs. In the 1900s, missionaries began converting the Lisu to Christianity, which is now the dominant Lisu religion.

-傈僳族有两种主要的语言。一种是传统的也是应用最广的是音节文字，另一种是以拼音为基础的新文字。

-There are two scripts for the Lisu language - the oldest and most widely used one is called the Fraser alphabet, and the newer one is based on pinyin.

-傈僳族妇女以其丰富多彩的传统服装与花哨的布饰而出名。她们用珍珠、珊瑚、贝壳和银饰来装点她们的衣服，男子则有随身佩刀的习俗。

-The Lisu women are known for their colourful traditional clothing made with strips of gaudy cloth. They decorate their outfits with pearls, coral, shells and silver. Lisu men typically carry a knife with them at all times.

-傈僳族的生活以农业为主，他们采集水果和蔬菜，种植玉米、水稻、荞麦、高粱，生活自给自足。

-The Lisu are known as subsistence farmers, living self-sufficient lives by harvesting fruit and vegetables from the wild, and planting maize, rice, buckwheat and sorghum.
